Shipping & Labor

Shipping and labor costs are not covered under the warranty.

Warranty Coverage

• Non-Performing Engines: 90-day warranty from the invoice date.
• Performance Engines (e.g., turbocharged, supercharged, VTEC, VVTI, etc.): 30-day start-up warranty from the invoice date.
• Rotary Engines: No warranty.
• Performance Transmissions: 30-day start-up warranty for defective internals only.
• Non-Performance Transmissions: 90-day unlimited mileage warranty for defective internals only.

Covered Parts

JDM Engine Center’s warranty covers internal parts of the engine block, heads, and transmission. External parts and related components are not covered.

Disclaimer

• Professional Installation Required: Warranty is void if not installed by a certified mechanic. JDM Engine Center does not provide technical support for installations. 
• External Parts Not Covered: Includes axles, pumps, manifolds, distributors, alternators, etc.
• No Coverage for Body, Interior, Wheels, & Suspension: These JDM parts are sold “as is.”
• No Coverage for Engine Overheating: Due to oil issues or improper installation.
• No Coverage for Modified Engines: Includes forced induction and aftermarket ECU upgrades.

Return & Refund Policy

• No refunds or exchanges for non-defective engines. Please do your research and make sure you’re buying the correct engine. 
• No deposit refunds after 7 business days.
• $45 service charge on returned checks.
• 25% restocking fee on refused/returned orders, plus freight charges.

General JDM Engine Information

Our JDM engines are used, imported from Japan with low mileage. External parts may be damaged during shipping and is the customer’s responsibility to replace them. Cosmetic damage does not affect the performance of the JDM engine.

Smog & Emissions

JDM Engine Center is not responsible for emissions or smog test failures. Verify compliance with local regulations before purchase an engine.

Defective JDM Engine Claim Procedure

• Submit a detailed description and pictures of the defect from a certified mechanic.
• Provide the mechanic’s certification and contact information.
• JDM Engine Center will decide on a refund or replacement of the defective part(s).
